The Holidays 2019 - Part 1 - Thanksgiving and the Day After Thanksgiving.
Let's start with T H A N K S G I V I N G.
It was pretty great. I didn't have to do anything other than take a shower, put makeup on, and to make sure that my family did the same except the makeup part - that was just for me.
We clean up ok when we try! This is just a quick photo taken at the Nelson's home right before the big feast. We started our thanksgiving progressive dinner there and afterwards we ate again at the Plothow's. Both amazing meals by amazing cooks and again I didn't have to do a thing! Best Ever!
I don't always get the chance to put makeup on... and maybe that's why on the drive from our home to the grandparents I had fun with the camera. Green eyes and pink lips ended up a win!
William is a lucky duck. He is the one with lots of cousins his own age. These are his Las-Vegas-twin cousins. He doesn't see them that often, but it's always memorable when we do. They are a lot of fun and know how to make a mess and it's always very loud and crazy - so yeah William doesn't always know how to handle it but he has fun just going with the crazy!
Thanksgiving at the Plothows did not disappoint. This was a very long table - and everyone had a spot which was impressive. There was ham, turkey, and prime rib because... well why not?! My mom's love language is often times food. She works hard preparing a feast and we all enjoyed it. My favorite had to be the fresh peeled squash with roasted pecans. It wasn't too sweet which I really liked. No marshmallows topping to ruin the dish. I think about this often. Wish I knew how to cook. But there's always next year - knock on wood!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving was being able to spend time with my siblings! We had a great time talking and laughing and it was simply fun to be together.
This was super fun. It was really magical. We went to this tree lot near our home in Elk Ridge and they had hundreds of freshly cut Christmas trees for us to choose from. We ended up getting a $200 12 ft tree - we were able to do some trading with our company so we didn't have to pay that much. It was fun. there was christmas music, lights, snow falling, and it was a happy family memory.
Gregory was in the Wax Museum. He did his report on Teddy Roosevelt. Here are some pictures the day of the school museum.
