Eleven Eleven... Happy Birthday George!

To start off George's birthday weekend, we visited Blarney Castle. I've already done a post about Blarney when Stan and I visited it early this year. But Blarney was a whole new experience this time because we had Gregory and George with us. They absolutely LOVED it. What boy wouldn't love a castle? We went deep into the caves underneath the castle, and went all the way to the back of the dungeons. That was interesting trying to crawl through uneven rocks, mud, and water puddles being super pregnant (I'm scheduled to deliver baby in three days). I cannot believe people had to live in such harsh, unsanitary conditions. And it wasn't like these people had some fair and unbiased trial. We climbed to the top again, this time making sure to stop off in each room and hallway. Stan has been to Blarney Castle four times, so he acted as our tour guide. He knew all about every room and where to go.

After the castle, we walked around the castle grounds. We found a poisonous garden. Here each of the plants grown were poisonous, and many could kill you if eaten or even touched and inhaled. Children were to be kept under strict supervision. We told Gregory about the dangerous plants, and this gave him ambition to touch and smell every plant he could. He's so funny. We couldn't afford to spend too much time in this garden for obvious reasons. We instead when up on the castle wall and walked across it which gave us a good view of the poisonous garden without being so close :).

When you ask little Georgie when his birthday is, he automatically replies eleven eleven. I love it how easy it is for him to remember his birthday. He was born in 2010, and his age just happens to be the last number of each year. So he was zero in 2010, 1 in 2011, 2 in 2012, and now 3 in 2013 and so on!!!

Today George turned three! What a wonderful three years it has been. George has been a delight since his birth. Such a good baby, and now such a great little boy. His personality is developing and growing, he has a wonderful sense of humor, and he is full of life and excitement. He always has a smile on his face, and he loves his brother Gregory and his Mommy and Daddy. Since we now live in Ireland, we are away from our old friends and family but lucky for us Mom Nelson is here so she was able to celebrate with us this year. Sunday, we invited over two families from our branch who we just love. They have children similar ages as ours, and we all get along so well. We ate a yummy dinner and had plenty of sweets! It was a blast. All the kids played marvelously together upstairs and the adults were able to talk for hours. It was a lot of fun for all. George keeps asking when his next party is, he wants to do it again!

One cute thing that George always says when we ask "why" is "Because I like it" or "I don't like it" These two are the typical responses whenever he is asked a question of why he has chosen or not chosen to do something. So George why do you want to go on a walk, "Because I like it" why don't you want to go to bed, "I don't like it".... he's so cute!

Here are a few photos taken at George's third birthday party!

George is getting ready to blow out his candle! He was able to do this on Sunday (the day of his party), and on Monday (his actual birthday). I think birthdays should be celebrated more than one day of the year. I love birthday weeks or birthday weekends!!!

George just blew out his candle. I love his chocolate lips from the hot coco he drank! Such a handsome young boy!

Best Buddies!

I think this photo is so cute. George is beyond happy with his present!

Gregory and George's grandma made sure that not only did George get some gifts, but that Gregory was included as well. Very Nice!

This was a fun shot. George kicked the ball towards me and I happened to be ready with the camera! George and Gregory want to start playing soccer while living here in Ireland. I believe it's played year round in clubs. After the baby is born, I'll get them both signed up for Irish soccer teams.

George was soooo excited to receive BUCKY, from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He dances each time he presses the play button and the music goes off.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE! We all LOVE you so much! I'm so happy Gregory and George are best friends! In just three days I'll be having another baby boy! I'm so excited for baby to join our family and have two wonderful brothers who will love and take care of him.
