I feel so blessed to live in a day with modern medicine. I have been hospitalized so many times now it's not funny. My list of surgeries are starting to climb past my four c-sections, I also had tonsillectomy and two years later I just had another surgery where they had to graft in a new ACL, allograft, repair my meniscus  and clip it off on the opposite side. Apparently one side was so shredded that it was beyond repair. I felt badly about that. My ACL was also gone. Like there was nothing left. This surgery was definitely needed and I have been waiting already 2.5 years to get this done. My insurance is going to cover this and it's a $50,000 surgery.  I feel that my underlying problem is that I have Crohn's Disease. My body just breaks down more than others.

My surgery went well. I woke up in terrible pain. So bad. I was shaking uncontrollably and they had to get me a breathing treatment, a shot in my knee to block the nerve, and basically gave me all the meds they legally could to help me get comfortable. Then just as everything started to feel better, they released me. I didn't want to leave. I'm used to staying over night so that I get help and so I can rest. However, Stan has been so great. He woke up every couple hours to make sure I was hydrated and also to give me my meds. He's exhausted. He's running Bear Bones IT like a champ, and taking care of everyone and everything I'm a lucky girl.

Christine and Lyndon sent me lunch today and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers all the way from NYC. I don't even know how it all happened. I've been slightly out of it, and Gregory answered the door and then he brought up this lovely lunch and flowers. It wasn't packaged in a normal mail box, it was hand delivered. So that was a fun surprise. I'm such a girl when it comes to flowers. I love them. Purples and yellows are my favorite too!

My mother has been so great. She had had my kids for 2 days and 2 nights. They pulled out the slipNslide and they kids went to town for 2 days playing on that. My siblings took my boys to Farr's Ice Cream, and have slept by them, and fed them, and comfort them. They are having a blast and that's a worry off my plate.

Stan's mom has also been wonderful. She went to all of Gregory's tournament game, I couldn't be there for the finals, they played 6 games in 3 days, but she was there for the finals when I was getting my surgery done. Apparently Gregory was on FIRE and did so well, it's good to have someone there that loves you cheering you on! She also brought over dinner and went grocery shopping.

I have friends coming over tomorrow. One is coming at 10 am and will stay until 3 pm, and the other one is coming at 3 and will stay until needed. How awesome is that. Then we have more people mostly family coming to help out. I believe my brother will come on Friday and spend the entire weekend, sleeping over and everything so that will be fun!

Edward, Hannah, and Ethan have been with the younger three non-stop for the last few days. They have been amazing.

Bottom line, surgery is terrible, I have to go through rehab, and I won't be back to normal for another 7 weeks or so. It seems like a long road ahead, but there's no turning back now. Hopefully when this is all over and done with, I will have a stronger knee and be able to live the active life that I want to live.

Thank you all so much for helping me out and showing my family so much love!
