Summer 2019

I feel like this summer was crazy fast. I know I always feel like summer goes by too quickly, but this year it just went by so fast because we were so busy. There wasn't any lazy summer days when we just did nothing. Or if there were, they weren't enough. We started off summer with camps. The older two boys went to baseball camp and basketball camp. They both played baseball through most of the summer as well. Gregory's team went to the state tournament and took third after winning second in their city. George and Gregory both are excellent baseball players.

Gregory made the competition soccer team again this year and played in two soccer tournaments this summer. He had some incredible games and did so well. He has improved so much this summer. He stopped so many shots and even PKs, and when his team was ahead, he got to play forward and with his incredible leg scored two goals from beyond the 18 which was impressive. He rocks at goalie and forward. He's just a great athlete.

George is incredible too. He decided to not play soccer but try for tackle football. Seriously impressed with this kid. He has 2 hour practices 4 times a week during the summer in full pads. He has had one game so far, made an excellent tackle, is the kicker, and plays offense as tight end. So he plays offense, defense, and special teams. That kid never leaves the field in games. To be able to play these positions you have to weigh in at a certain weight. We found out about this 8 days before weigh in. George was over the limit and to his own credit and determination, he lost 12 lbs in 8 days so that he could play any position on the field. I was so proud of him. I've never seen anyone lose that kind of weight with so much determination and poise. He really showed some maturity and greatness in that he did it and that he did it so well. When he made weight, I cried, and then we all celebrated by going out to JCWs. It was a party!!

William is a trooper. He loves his brothers, he plays with his neighborhood friends. He plays soccer and his season is about to start up. He is a good sport and goes to all his brothers games and practices and works on his own skills at home with his brothers. When he plays, he schools everyone on the field and normally scores between 4-10 goals. As soon as he is old enough, I'll have him tryout for the competition league. He is a natural soccer player.

Tiberius loves everyone and everything. He cannot stop finding balls and throwing them. With all his throwing we have discovered that he is left handed. I have tried giving him the ball in his right, but he switches for his left and can throw twice as far. Stan's brown curly hair and left handed traits have been passed down to baby number four.

Summer was good. Stan and I worked so hard. We didn't get to play as much as I would have liked. We had to cancel 2 camping trips and I ended up in knee surgery. But we did get to go swimming a few times, had the boys involved in many sports and camps, and we did get away for the 4th of July, and most importantly we worked so hard and got lucky and tripled our business, opened an office, and hired our first employee. We feel very fortunate and blessed for our summer success. Even though it's fun to play, it also is important to be able to pay our bills and seeing this success has been fun in its own way. We WON 2019 Best of Utah Valley as well! Hooray!

Here are some of my favorite photos from our summer. It never seems enough, but then when I see all these photos I guess it was a great summer and we did a lot.

We spent a lot of time at this part this summer. We played baseball with our machine pitch and they went from not being able to hit to being some of the best hitters on their teams.

I  L O V E  S U M M E R ! Cannot wait until next summer already! Luckily to limit my summer is over blues I have a couple trips planned already for Fall and Winter. So there's always fun to look forward to! I love my family. I love my husband. I love my boys. I love my life!
