Merry Christmas 2021 - Sledding - Wingers - Spiderman - Presents

Merry Christmas everyone! This has been a really sweet season for us this year. Small things have truly become great in our home. A Wagon Wheel 4:30AM trip to Idaho is a story that ended up bringing my mother some happy Christmas cheer. A story though for another time. This post is on our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Let's just say we had a good weekend.

We started off Christmas Eve morning at Tibble Fork Reservoir. We walked over a frozen lake which made me nervous but on the other side was an epic sledding hill on the side of a mountain. It was steep and fun, and my boys had a blast. After sledding up American Fork Canyon, we went home and got ready for Dinner. We went to Wingers which is a family favorite of ours. We ate wings (Stan and Gregory) boneless fingers with original sauce yum! (Me, William, and Tiber) and George surprised us with his order of three sliders - each prepared differently. The boys ate through the blue cheese fries as a starter, and after our dinner we all finished with Grasshopper pie which is a big slice of mint ice cream cake with an Oreo cookie crust and caramel and whipped cream on top.

Then we headed to a movie - Spiderman No Way Home - was playing so we moved the car to the other side of the mall and went and saw the movie. Tiber was awesome and we got to watch the whole thing. That in of itself was amazing! After the movie we came home. I put on the Naivety that the Church produced. It's a 20 minute video of Jesus Christ's birth and it showed Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem. It was a really nice video and the boys were happy to watch it. Then afterwards, the came upstairs. I was wrapping presents. Some went to bed, others starting making tents in their bedrooms which they ended up sleeping in, and I finished wrapping around 2AM. I also cleaned up the house and did a load of dishes. Christmas morning things need to be somewhat clean so I couldn't go to bed until it was just right.

Christmas morning was everything I hoped it would be. The boys were happy, grateful, excited, and appreciated all that they received. It made my heart happy to see them so pleased. We spoke to Stan's parents who are currently in England visiting Stan's brother, and my parents and siblings came over to our house in the afternoon for a visit and go deliver the gift that Dad made for us. He made a beautiful double chair bench made from red wood. I really truly love it. It is a treasure to have this bench that my Dad made from hand. He is really amazing.

Merry Christmas!
